In the month of Ramadan, Muslims are required to observe the annual religious ritual of fasting. During this fasting month, we are obligated to abstain from eating, drinking, and worldly desires from dawn until sunset. To successfully observe the fast, it is important to maintain a healthy and fit body to carry out daily activities without disruptions.

To keep the body in good condition, it is essential to have nutritious food and beverages to meet daily nutritional needs. Apart from food and drink, quality rest also plays a significant role. With proper rest, the body can experience various benefits.

We all know that in a single day, we may experience moments that can affect our emotions and potentially lead to stress. When we're stressed, it can disrupt our sleep cycle. Similarly, frequent episodes of insomnia can significantly reduce our sleep hours, leaving us feeling tired and unfit in the morning. One way to achieve quality sleep is by taking a warm shower. According to a survey, 30% of people who wake up feeling grumpy in the morning reported feeling better after taking a warm shower. Warm showers are believed to dilate blood vessels, promoting relaxation in the body.

Taking a warm shower not only helps soothe emotions but also provides physical comfort by relieving body aches and bloating. The expanded blood vessels contribute to the overall feeling of physical well-being.

The impact of having quality sleep during the month of Ramadan is that it allows the body to feel refreshed when waking up early for suhoor (pre-dawn meal) or night prayers. Sleeping for 5-6 hours can be sufficient to keep the body energized for a day of fasting, as long as the sleep is of good quality. So, with adequate sleep, coupled with quality food and drink intake during suhoor, one can be prepared to carry out daily activities throughout the fasting period.
