THE ARISTON COMFORT CHALLENGE – THE SERIES
The Ariston Comfort Challenge was born with the idea of creating "The Comfort Zone" – a house in the heart of icy Disko Island (Greenland) to serve scientific research activities. The story of three Ariston technicians' arduous journey to the North Pole is told in six valuable documentary episodes, vividly recreating Ariston's attempt to bring comfort to the end of the Earth.
EPISODE 1: THE MEETING OF THREE ARISTON TECHNICIANS
The first footage recounts how the Ariston Comfort Challenge was conceived. The journey named three technicians: William Randaccio (Italy), Yuanshuo "Andy" Huang (China), and Oleg Belly (Russia). Overcoming geographical distancing and cultural obstacles, the three accepted leaving their comforts to start their journey to Greenland with many challenges but lots of expectations.
EPISODE 2: FACING "MOTHER NATURE"'S ULTIMATE CHALLENGE
Overcoming the initial surprises, three veteran technicians started their journey from Copenhagen (Denmark) to the cold Disko land. From the first moments, the vast white scene made all three couldn't help overwhelmed. That monumental image highlights the contrast between the majestic "Mother Nature" and the human being's smallness while making viewers look forward to a challenging journey ahead.
EPISODE 3: THE FIRST BOOTY PARTY IN THE ARCTIC
In stark contrast to the time pressure, difficulties, and anxieties at the end of the previous episode, the first footage of episode 3 opens with a poetic setting and peaceful life of people in this land covered by more than 80% of ice and snow.
It can be said that in the most extreme and difficult circumstances, the bond between people becomes tighter than ever. Throughout the third episode of this journey, viewers seem to immerse in the majestic natural scenery and even feel the warm affection between the crew members and the local people. And perhaps, this is the factor that brought the expedition closer to the day of completing the challenge.
EPISODE 4: FAMILY LOVE IS THE BAGGAGE THAT BRINGS TO THE END OF THE EARTH
On the 17th day of the journey, the technician team kept accelerating to accomplish their goal. And it's been 17 days since the three of them left their comfort zones to bring comfort to the land at the end of the Earth. Disko maintains its challenging appearance, but those difficulties are no longer partially burdened to the technician team as they receive dedicated support from the local people on the one hand and words of encouragement and affection from the loved ones themselves on the other.
EPISODE 5: TIME PRESSURES AND UNEXPECTED INITIATIVES
The image of Greenland dogs on the white road opens episode 5 with a fast and rush music tempo as signals of acceleration in the Ariston technician team's journey to build the house. And, overcoming all difficulties, along with everyone's wills and efforts, the image of the heating equipment installed and operated inside the house can be said to be the most valuable moment in the last five episodes. All their efforts were made worth it!
EPISODE 6: WARM SPACE IN THE HEART OF THE ICY DISKO
Despite the dangers of extreme weather conditions, now there is more warmth in Disko Island by the Ariston Comfort Challenge. The presence of warm space in the middle of an ice and snow area has ignited the scientific passion of scientists, who are working day and night in the Far North.
The Ariston Comfort Challenge has truthfully recreated the arduous journey to overcome the language and cultural barriers of the three Ariston technicians. The journey is also a testament to Ariston's "guide" to the mission of constantly creating comfort anywhere, despite the harshest challenges.
