Become an Ariston Electric Water Heater Supplier

Advantages of Becoming an Ariston Electric Water Heater Supplier

One of the most valued features of modern living has to be access to hot water on demand. Most people that have this privilege take the health benefits and comfort that hot water for personal hygiene provides, for granted. Whether gas or electricity is used to generate the heat required, the associated cost of this privilege has been rising steadily. The Ariston Group offers a range of elegant, energy-efficient, instant electric water heaters for installation in South African homes. The product range is specifically designed to mitigate the impact of escalating energy prices while protecting the environment. In other words, products that benefit both the end-user and the environment. The more people who adopt Ariston’s energy-conserving technology, the larger the benefit to the environment becomes. To encourage suppliers to educate end-users on the benefits of the Ariston product offering, the Ariston Group introduced a rewards scheme for its electric water heater suppliers and installers. The myAriston scheme incentivises electric water heater suppliers and installers to explain why a consumer will benefit from instaling an Ariston product as opposed to a less efficient, less eco-friendly competitor offering.

Benefits of Supplying Ariston Products

South African consumers are under increasing financial pressure as inflation outstrips salary increases year after year. The cost of energy, both fossil fuel and electricity, has been the most prone to inflationary increases of all. Between 1988 and 2021 Eskom increased its power tariffs by 753%! Growing concern over climate change has fuelled more interest in sustainable energy and practices. The undertaking by Arison Group to actively pursue 9 of the 17 economic, social and environmental goals agreed by the UN General Assembly in 2015, is another unique selling point (USP) for Ariston electric water heater suppliers to highlight. While many consumers are concerned about the environment to a greater or lesser degree, a system that reduces the monthly utility bill appeals to everyone. The cost savings provided by point-of-use instant electric water heaters give electric water heater suppliers and installers a compelling argument in favour of a consumer making the investment in one of Ariston’s solutions. Installers get the added benefit of working with a reliable product that is quickly and easily installed. The time saved allows plumbers and installers to be more productive and increase their turnover. Equipment failures are often, unjustly, blamed on the installer, resulting in the end-user becoming caught in the middle of an argument between the supplier or manufacturer and the installer. Ariston heating products are designed with longevity and reliability as a primary focus. They include a host of unique features to ensure consistent performance over time. Reliability by design means few, to no issues or unhappy clients, significantly improving the rate of customer referrals.

Modern Electric Water Heating Systems

The earliest electrically-powered water heating systems were centralised systems that employed a large storage tank containing an element similar to those found in electric kettles, only much larger. These types of heaters are known as immersion heaters. The element heats water in the tank, the heated water then rises to the top of the tank where it can be drawn on demand. As the hot water is drawn at the top of the tank, cold water replaces it at the bottom and the heating cycle is repeated.  Centralised geysers, whether gas- or electrically-fired, invariably suffer significant heat loss in the extensive network of pipes that deliver the hot water to the point of use. Heat loss even occurs in systems where the pipework is well insulated, albeit to a lesser extent. In addition, the water has to be maintained at the preferred temperature between uses so electricity is constantly used to replace heat lost to the atmosphere. A centralised geyser will have a data plate or sticker indicating the maximum daily heat loss (measured in kilowatt-hours) the tank will experience. This calculation is done when the water is heated to a certain temperature and no water is drawn off for twenty-four hours. Bear in mind that the higher the temperature in the tank, the higher the heat loss to the atmosphere will be. Switching these types of water heating systems off between hot water use can bring about savings but these tend to be marginal and the water takes an unacceptably long time to warm up again. The Ariston Group offers consumers a number of alternative options that are both more economical and eco-friendly.

Additional Revenue Opportunities for Ariston Electric Water Heater Suppliers

While most installers rely entirely on the profit from unit sales and installation fees, Ariston believes electric water heater suppliers and installers that believe in and support Ariston solutions deserve more. To show their appreciation and promote ongoing sales, Ariston offers its electric water heater suppliers and installers an additional reward for their efforts. The myAriston Rewards Programme serves both as a reward for those who purchase selected Ariston heating products and an incentive for them to buy more. Those who wish to participate must register to join the programme which currently offers rewards for the purchase of six Ariston and Heat Tech products, including one of the Ariston gas geysers.  Upon registering the sale of a qualifying product, participating electric water heater suppliers are awarded points. Every two points represent one Rand, and members will receive a card preloaded with R500 once they have accumulated their first 1 000 points. After that, every additional thousand points will automatically add another R500 until the maximum permitted load of R25 000 is reached. The card is accepted at all Mastercard and Visa points of sale. Participating electric water heater suppliers should keep an eye on their balance as credit transactions are not permitted. Members may also use their points to donate a portion of their rewards to a registered charity of their choice, in which case Ariston will match the donation. When registering the sale, suppliers have the option to arrange an automated callback. If requested, Ariston will put the supplier and customer in touch with each other after 12-months to arrange a service call on the unit installed. The callback agreement helps to reinforce customer satisfaction while creating an additional income opportunity for electric water heater suppliers.
